Travel in Style

When it comes about travelling, it's not all about style, but also comfort. Finding an outfit that is comfortable yet fashionable is a little harder than you may think. So here are some to to stay comfy yet chic while you travel....

1. Minimalist- lose the jewellery or anything with too many buckles and straps- they're just a pain. Start with a comfy pair of jeans  and a plain tee. Layer on sweaters and jackets. Take only what you need.

2. Baggage- the last thing you want is to be lugging around too many bags. Choose something that is appropriate eg. A moth long trip mean you need a fairly large suitcase. As for hand luggage, I recommend a larger tote that accommodates for all your travel essentials. In the even that you need more than one suitcase, go with a set. This way all your luggage is easily identifiable and also gives you a few style points. In addition, go with a suitcase that is conventional- something with many compartments which makes packing and finding things much easier. In order for a suitcase to match an outfit, go with a single colour, not prints. My clothing follows a neutral palette, so compliment it with a neutral suitcase that will go with everything or make a statement with a pop of colour - personal choice is red. It goes well with everything.

3. Layer up- begin with a comfy pair of jeans- or even better leggings. Then start with a. Comfy tee and a scarf. Add on jackets of necessary. You don't want to be bogged down. A blazer is the perfect way for a little warmth but yet fashionable.

4. Footwear- personally, go with boots or converse ( pr any other fashion sneaker). These tepid to be the most comfortable to walk in. And this way, you can't forget socks. Never ever forget socks!

5. Keep jewellery minimum. It's a pain to have to take off every piece of jewellery every time you go through security. Keep it simple with a watch and any other necessities. Go with a rose gold, silver or gold watch for style points.

6. Makeup- this is one of the biggest issues mainly because travelling drys out your skin so much and you don't want to be wearing layers of foundation when that happens. So to keep your skin healthy- moisturise. After a layer of moisturiser, prime then apply a tinted moisturiser or even be cream. Keep it simple with a classic liner and red lip combo. But go with waterproof eyeliner and mascara and lip tint to avoid any situations. However, you can always refresh later on.

Hoped my tips helped!
