Sweet smelling, calming and decorative, who wouldn't want a candle? A recycled candle that you made? Everyone loves a candle but once they come to their dying hours, they seem pretty useless. So here's a clever way to make the most of your candle...Recycle it! get creative
What you will need:
- Small candy or mint tin with a lid or even a teacup!
- Washcloth
- Scissors
- Prewaxed candle bleached candlewick with wick clip - I got mine from Jo-Ann
- Microwavable soy wax or wax crayons
- Glue- preferably mod podge
- Skewer
- Thoroughly clean the container in warm water and soap. Dry with wash cloth
- Adhere candlewick to the base, firmly holding down for a few minutes
- Melt wax in microwave and pour into the tin, until it nearly reaches the top
- Twist wax around skewer and place skewer around rim of container and suspend until wax dries
- Let wax dry
- Trim candlewick to desire length
This is a great gift idea or even a stocking stuffer this holiday season for your fiends and family!
