DIY: Recycled Candle

Sweet smelling, calming and decorative, who wouldn't want a candle? A recycled candle that you made? Everyone loves a candle but once they come to their dying hours, they seem pretty useless. So here's a clever way to make the most of your candle...Recycle it! get creative

What you will need:

  1. Small candy or mint tin with a lid or even a teacup!
  2. Washcloth
  3. Scissors
  4. Prewaxed candle bleached candlewick with wick clip - I got mine from Jo-Ann
  5. Microwavable soy wax or wax crayons
  6. Glue- preferably mod podge
  7. Skewer

  1. Thoroughly clean the container in warm water and soap. Dry with wash cloth
  2. Adhere candlewick to the base, firmly holding down for a few minutes
  3. Melt wax in microwave and pour into the tin, until it nearly reaches the top
  4. Twist wax around skewer and place skewer around rim of container and suspend until wax dries
  5. Let wax dry
  6. Trim candlewick to desire length
This is a great gift idea or even a stocking stuffer this holiday season for your fiends and family!
Would like a cup of tea?
