The latest trend to hit fashion waves this season is peplum. Peplum tops, jackets and dresses are all the rage this season, and that's why I'm here to give you all the scoop on peplum and how I like to style it!
1. Girly with an Edge!
This outfit is pretty daring in the sense that it takes a super-girly piece and transforms it into an edgy look. the lace peplum top is in itself, a great piece but the ombre jeans take it to a whole new level, while adding dimension and interest to the outfit. The wedges are honestly something I would've changed if I'd done this look. The easiest way to add a little edge to any outfit is to add spikes, any rock girl's best friend, and in this case, it sealed off the look. The easiest way to take an outfit to the next level is buy accessorizing! Accessories are legit the most affordable way to dress up any outfit.
2. Flower Power!
Once again, I come across an outfit which I don't really like, it just isn't my style. The skirt is a really eye-catcher and the look compliments it, without no other opposing patterns. And, I must admit, peplum is one of the easiest ways to add class and sophistication to your look. Adding a little bit of metallic can never be harmful, especially in this case. It makes the outfit look a little more put together without overpowering the peplum skirt.
3. Glam Rock.
This outfit, by far is my favorite! It's just absolute perfection! The frills of the top are higher up than most, a great opportunity for high waisted jeans of shorts, or for a more classy look, a skirt. And wow, the shorts! Think about it, if you took the peplum top and paired it with a floral skirt and some bright accessories, you've got a completely different look. The spikes imply a rocker girl look but the shoes make the look more glam. Here's a quick tip- The chunkier the heels the more rocker girl you look, they oppose girliness.
